JOANNA
Joanna is a self-taught international award winning contemporary ink artist from the UK, inspired and influenced by the surrealistic approach of Salvador Dali and M.C. Escher. She is dedicated to working with abstract, fantasy pieces and aims to explore the beauty of the human spirit through her art. Joanna has always had a deep interest in art, which is inspired by the infinite possibilities of her own perceptions and imagination. She is hopeful that through her work she is able to create a window to a weird and wonderful alternative to everyday life. Joanna mainly works with black and white pen and ink drawings as well as acrylic painting, resulting in dramatic and surrealistic compositions that evoke an intricate, mysterious world. As an artist, Joanna believes in using complex lines to create powerful concepts. Her work is driven by a passion to capture the underlying beauty and energy of things by honing into the fundamental line, exploring the limitless possibilities of the imagination.
