I’ve been working on the fusion of humans and technology for 30 years — not just since yesterday. This topic is my life. I spend time in both the analogue and digital worlds, thus creating the bridge that today's generation must cross. The time to address the issue of identity and technology's influence on us is now. Not tomorrow. We need artworks now that reflect this debate in order to free ourselves from the sense of powerlessness that can come with merging with technology. My creations include robotic art, sculptures, sculpture-paintings, digital artwork, video art, and installations. Throughout my creative journey, I have experimented with analog and digital techniques, combining and transforming them. For instance, I use FaceTime mapping to superimpose my facial expressions onto physical sculpture-paintings, breathing life into these formerly silent works of art by creating videos. Through this process, I attempt to break down the boundaries imposed by formats, media, people, and society. I surrender myself to the creative process. In my universe of humans and technology, the question always arises: Who invented whom? New concepts of identity are always criticized at first. That's how it has to be. However, I am more interested in the opportunities technology offers us and what we gain from it than in what it takes away. We have already crossed that line, so for me, that point is settled.Technology has become indispensable, and I want to give it a face. I want to make technology visible. This makes technology our mirror.
