My paintings investigate the human figure as a fleeting, emotional presence—caught between emergence and disappearance. Rooted in abstraction, my work reflects on memory, identity, and the subtle connections between people. Figures appear and fade, often faceless, suspended in movement or silence. I work with acrylics, charcoal, and mixed media on canvas. My process is intuitive and physical: I layer, erase, scratch, and drip, allowing traces of earlier marks to remain visible. These layers act like memory—fragmented, incomplete, yet emotionally resonant. The palette is soft, often subdued, punctuated by bold lines or sudden color shifts. I seek to create tension between presence and absence, solitude and togetherness. The figures I depict are not portraits—they are echoes, impressions, moments. They invite viewers to reflect on their own presence in the world, on what remains when we pass through a space or a relationship. This series offers a quiet meditation on human existence in transition. Rather than telling stories, I aim to evoke moods—fragility, strength, distance, closeness. My work is a search for stillness within motion, and form within the abstract.
