Lunar Legacy Award – A Historic Artistic Journey to the Moon

1. Introduction
ICM Gestora Cultural, in collaboration with LifeShip - Astrolab's FLIP Rover, is proud to present the Lunar Legacy Award, an initiative dedicated to preserving artistic expression beyond Earth. This document outlines the terms and conditions governing participation in the award, including the inclusion of artwork in the Pyramid NanoFiche mosaic, mission procedures, and participant rights.
2. Award Participation & Inclusions
By participating in the Lunar Legacy Award, each artist agrees to the following:
Deadline for Registration – The deadline to register for the Lunar Legacy Award is June 30, 2025. Participation is limited. Applications will close early if all spots are filled before the deadline.
Artwork Submission & Selection – Only selected artists will have their work included in the Pyramid NanoFiche mosaic, which will be transported to the Moon aboard Astrolab’s FLIP Rover.
Certificate of Inclusion – Award recipients will receive an official certificate verifying their participation in the mission.
Mission Documentation – ICM Gestora Cultural will provide detailed documentation of the NanoFiche pyramid's contents, preserving a record of the archived artwork.
Publication in "Lunar Legacy" Book – Selected artists will receive a full-page feature in the commemorative book, available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Online Exhibition – The awarded artwork will be showcased in the Lunar Legacy Online Catalogue on our website.
3. Mission Highlights & Events
Pyramid on the Moon Lander – The NanoFiche pyramid will be securely placed on the Moon lander, ensuring its presence on the lunar surface.
Live Video Launch Party – Participants will have the opportunity to witness the launch via a live-streamed event.
Live Video Lunar Landing Party – Upon successful landing, a live broadcast of the event will be available.
Moon Rover Exploration Footage – Footage of the FLIP Rover navigating the Moon will be shared with the public.
4. Mission Timeline & Uncertainties
Scheduled Launch: November 2025 – The mission is planned for launch in November of this year.
Landing Site – The mission aims to land in the Nobile region near the Moon’s south pole.
Mission Delays & Risks – Space exploration involves inherent risks. Delays, technical failures, or unforeseen circumstances may impact the launch, landing, or archival process.
Continued Flight Commitment – In the event of a mission failure, ICM Gestora Cultural will make reasonable efforts to include the artwork in a future lunar mission at no additional cost to the artist.
5. Intellectual Property & Rights
Artist Ownership – Participating artists retain full intellectual property rights to their submitted work.
Mission & Promotional Rights – By participating, artists grant ICM Gestora Cultural and its partners the non-exclusive right to use submitted artwork for promotional, archival, and mission-related purposes, including but not limited to online and print publications, exhibitions, and media coverage.
6. Liability & Acknowledgment
No Guarantee of Mission Success – While ICM Gestora Cultural and its partners strive for mission success, participants acknowledge that space missions carry risks, including but not limited to:
Potential launch or landing failure
Damage or loss of the NanoFiche mosaic
Technical or operational challenges
No Monetary Compensation – This is a non-monetary award. No financial compensation is provided in exchange for participation.
ICM Gestora Cultural will make reasonable efforts to include the artwork in a future lunar mission at no additional cost to the artist.
7. Payments & Refund Policy
Non-Refundable Payments – All payments for the Lunar Legacy Award are non-refundable, regardless of changes in mission schedules, delays, or unforeseen circumstances.
Final Registration Date – All payments and registrations must be completed by June 30, 2025 to secure participation.
8. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting artwork and participating in the Lunar Legacy Award, artists acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
