When I create art, it feels like writing in my journal - leaving notes to my future self, recollecting moments in time, and capturing stories I know I may one day forget. At times it gets messy, a dialogue unfolding between my mind and heart. I am both a structural engineer and a mixed-media artist, working in the space in-between where precision meets intuition and logic dances with emotion. Often, my mind and heart collide. To blur these divisive lines, I work with acrylic paint, gesso, charcoal, watercolours, coloured pencils and ink on various substrates like paper, wood and canvas. The materials build layers, inviting the viewer to feel the energy of each piece without knowing how many layers or sharp edges have been softened over time. My art is an invitation to dwell in that in-between space, where balance is found - if only for a moment. In this space, transformation happens. It is where memories are stitched and bound together in imperfect yet beautiful ways.
